Trouble Logging Into Your True Credit Account?

Logging into your True Credit account should be quick, simple and stress-free, but it can be difficult to remember all of the appropriate credentials. Also, to the less tech savvy, navigating a website can feel like traversing a dense jungle. For those of you who run into any issues logging into your True Credit account, here is a list of common log in issues and solutions.

I Forgot My Password

  1. Navigate to the True Credit login page.
  2. Click the link labeled, forgot password?
  3. Enter your personal information including, Social Security Number and Last Name.
  4. Confirm your identity by supplying the appropriate information.
  5. Select a new, unique password.
  6. You will receive a privacy protection e-mail to confirm the changes made to your account.

I Need To Change My Login Information

  3. Follow the link at the top of the page to your Profile.
  4. Click the My Settings tab.
  5. Make changes to your login information and confirm the changes.

I Need Help Coming Up With a Good Username and Password

  1. A good username is one that you can remember, but is unique enough that it won’t be easy to guess
  2. TransUnion Interactive suggests that you use your personal e-mail address.
  3. A good password is unique and uses a variety of characters including, numbers, letters and symbols.
  4. You must use a of minimum 8 characters for your password and keep in mind, it is case sensitive.

What is the Purpose of a Secret Question and Secret Answer?

  1. A secret answer is the response to the secret question you chose from a list we provided when signing-up
  2. This system is in place to allow you to recover your account more quickly and to protect against potential fraud.
  3. For example, if the security question you chose is, What city were you born in? the secret answer could be Atlanta.
  4. Your security question and answer will be much easier to memorize if the information provided is true.

I Didn’t Receive a Confirmation E-mail After Signing-Up

  1. When you sign-up for a True Credit account, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in order to confirm your identity.
  2. If you do not receive this e-mail and follow the link inside, you will not be able to successfully create an account.
  3. Often times, spam filters will remove these types of confirmation e-mails from your inbox and move them to your spam folder
  4. If the confirmation e-mail isn’t in your inbox or spam folders and sufficient time has passed for the e-mail to arrive, please contact the customer support.

The Login Page Won’t Load

  1. If the login page isn’t loading, it is likely an issue with internet connectivity or your browser settings
  2. Try resetting your internet connection by unplugging the power cable to your modem, waiting a few seconds and then plugging the power cable back in .
  3. If it’s your browser settings, then edit your current browser to allow for websites to create cookies.

Always remember that account security is a priority and never give out account information to anyone or any other site. If you receive an e-mail asking you to input any part of your account information, you should ignore it and flag the sender as a scam artist. These types of e-mails are known as Phishing e-mails and are a deliberate attempt to steal personal account information. Listen to your gut instinct in these situations, if it feels strange, it’s probably a fraud.
